![]() ![]() Usually, the rub will have caramelized during smoking rather than look like it was just shaken on. The pork ribs were nothing to look at with a combination of overcooked/black edges plus still powdery rub on the outside. Disappointing situation that should be addressed asap. We choked it down with soda rather than try to arrange an exchange. Unlike the menu on the web-seen after the fact-the menu in house does not list it as a Jalapeno Cheddar Link. ![]() I specifically asked if the link was spicy (don’t do spicy) and was told no. Coleslaw and potato salad as sides with an added pick of the hashbrown casserole also. Meat choices were the pork ribs, beef brisket, and sausage link. Sharing one of these platters was our go to today with three meats and two sides. Served as sandwiches and plates and multi meat platters. chopped pork, brisket, pork ribs plus salmon, chicken and turkey. Old school order at the counter, formica, and linoleum type of place with some outdoor tables. This review based on one visit to specific location. Highly rated (4.6 on Google) spot with multiple locations. My husband and another one of my friends had said the same thing. I ended up picking out the other veggies, which were very few and tried to feel satisfied, but this whole experience has left me not desiring to go back to Sugarfire ever again. I tried several, thinking maybe one or two were tough but they were all that way. They were cut in half, down the middle, so I just speared them and put the whole “half” thing in my mouth but I couldn’t even chew them they were so tough and stringy so I had to nonchalantly and hopefully inconspicuously, spit it out and put it back on my tray. My roasted veggies, which looked so good, had so many brussel sprouts that were so tough, I couldn’t even cut them with my fork. The Turkey itself was chewy and not tasty at all. My turkey had the skin or hide on every single piece, which was not only unsavory but tough so I had to cut it off and again, left with little meat. But the few pieces of brisket I got with my 2 meat combo plate was fatty so the little I got to eat wasn’t satisfying. My fries were hot so I’m assuming they were a new batch but had NO salt whatsoever. By that time, I had eaten almost all of my food and the rest of my friends were finishing theirs. The counter person said that she would bring them to the table. My husband returned the salty fries and asked for fresh ones because they were inedible. My fries were so salty… like over the top salty… but my husband had received a new fresh batch of fries that were fine so I figured I had gotten the last of the last and that’s why they were so salty. I was expecting the same experience as my takeout but was seriously disappointed. to go to Sugarfire St Charles a few nights ago and so we went again, hopeful this time after eating the excellent takeout meal! Then, a couple of months ago, a family member brought take out from the Olive location and it was melt in the mouth!! Everything was so tasty! Then a visiting family member wanted. A few years ago had eaten here and was underwhelmed.
